Electric engine
22 KW engine is standard. If required, a 32 KW engine is also available.
Advantages of an electric engine:
- Optimal cutting speed is shown on Ammeter.
- Exhaust-free (makes it possible to work inside a building)
- Low-maintenance
- Long lasting
- Lightweight
- Low noise
- Free of vibrations
Precutter
- Removes bark and stones before blade enters the wood
- Lengthens the working life of the sawblade
- Debarker guard prevents blade warping in case of improper use of the controls.
- A second precutter where the blade comes out of the wood is also possible.
- Can be operated with the joystick.
Squaring
arms
- Prevent the log from rolling off when loading and turning
- Required for right-angle positioning of the log
- Adjustable with great precision
- Important parts are made out of brass
- Rollers at the tip make for easier turning of large logs
- Can be lowered vertically for cutting slats
Hydraulic sawblade guide
- Allow guides to be positioned as close as possible to the log while cutting.
- Can be operated with the joystick.
Sawdust
collector
- Can be hydraulically emptied at any time
- No flying sawdust in windy conditions
- Can be operated with the joystick.
- See it in action in the video.
Cockpit
- Ergonomically designed
- Optional with joystick and computer (read Bavaria SL-Series details)
- Digital display standard.
Hydraulic sawhead advance
- Very fast sawhead return (up to 60 m/min) which means higher productivity.
- Responds gently or swiftly from stand still to top speed. Especially useful when sawing large diameter logs.
- Fewer failures than with transmission drives.
Hydraulic
support legs
- Shorten set up time of the sawmill. The diagram shows a stationary mill that doesn't need them, but they are particularly useful for mobile mills.
Toe
boards with log clamps
- Levels each log individually.
- Clamps the log with height-adjustable clamps.
- Pulls the log down and pulls it hard against the bunks (very important with twisted and long logs of 16 ft. (5 m) or more, so that you can obtain true-to-measure boards. (More than 50% of all logs twist and turn during the sawing process and do not lie level without clamps).
- Two hydraulic cylinders between the toes extend clamping width and double the clamping speed.
Log
clamp turner
- Can turn the log on the deck either clockwise or counter-clockwise.
- Will turn cant or boards quickly without corner damage.
- Presses the log against the back stoppers and also pulls the cant / log down on the bunk.
- Holds the log or cant at the desired angle.
Roller
drum
- Moves the log forward or back, so that it can be clamped as securely as possible
- Levels tapered logs
- Particularly wide and robust design
Log
lifters
- Lift the logs from the ground up to the sawmill bed
- Individually adjustable and can be installed at various locations for different log lengths
- 1.2 ton capacity per lifter
- Up to four log lifters can be installed
- See them in action in the videos.
Removal
system
- Takes the cut boards off the machine automatically. See the videos to watch this in action.
